Le souvenir des personnes d’un Merite distingué ne s’etanjamais de La memoire quelque Longue que Soit L’absence, Il est donc naturel que je me rapelle encore avec plaisir, Moncher prince Les temps ou je Vous ai vu au bords du Rein et a la Cour de mon pere, depuis ce temps en diverses ocasions Vos atentions obligeantes m’ont doné Lieu de croire que Vous pensiéz quelquefois a moy, je serois faché si je ne pouvois pas enquelquesorte vous en temoignér ma reconaisance, ne penséz pas que Les Sentiments d’Estime et d’amitié, que j’ai pour Vous fait aussi peu durables que les fragilles bagatelles que je Vous envoye, ce seroit mal jugér de ma fason de pensér, je me flate que Vous en avéz meilleur opinion et que Voudréz bien croire que j’honnore Le Merite toute part ou je L’apersois et que je seroi charmé en toute Ocasion de Vous donnér des Marques des Sentiments distinguéz avec les quels je suis, Mon Cousin Votrebon Cousin Federic
