Kaiser Matthias erklärt sich bereit, dem Fürsten Karl I. von Liechtenstein, da dieser auf die ihm vom Kaiser versprochene Herrschaft Pardubitz (Pardubice) verzichtet hat, das Herzogtum Troppau (Opava) zu verleihen und überträgt auf ihn und seine Nachkommen die Würde eines „Herzogs und Fürsten zu Troppau“.
